Massive Attack – The Spoils ft. Hope Sandoval

Massive Attack recently teamed up with Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star) for a new track , The Spoils, and now they also released a follow up video for it, starring Cate Blanchett.

The clip directed by John Hillcoat shows Blanchett’s head being gradually and slowly transformed until it turns into stone. As sad and deconstructive as this process might look like, along with the angelic Hope’s vocals, it actually leaves you with some sort of a resurrection feeling. Tempting to say, a Hope feeling.

The Spoils was released along with another song, Come Near Me, on Massive Attack’s new 2-track EP.

DIE ANTWOORD – UGLY BOY

1

South African rap-rave duo Die Antwoord have just shared a new video for ‘Ugly Boy’ from their latest album Donker Mag. Apart from Ninja and Yo-Landi-Vi$$er, the creepy video features an array of cameos including Marilyn Manson, Flea, Jack Black, Dita Von Teese, The ATL twins and Cara Delevingne. Too bad it’s already post Halloween!

Jamie xx- All Under One Roof Raving

Some new stuff from Jamie XX, the track written while he was on tour with The XX last year and apparently felt a bit homesick for London life. The new steel-drum-based track is a bit heavier than previously shared ‘Sleep Sound’ or ‘Girl‘, but it definitely spreads some addictive “London” vibe around.

The video was directed by Rose Pilkington.

Flume – Space Cadet (ft. Ghostface Killah & Autre Ne Veut) (Official Video)

Hilarious, animated video from Flume for ‘Space Cadet’ recorded together with Ghostface Killah and Autre Ne Veut. The song appears on the upcoming (April 15th) deluxe edition of this young Australian producer’s debut album released last year. Nicely surreal, colorful cartoon 🙂

Iggy Azalea – Fancy (Explicit) ft. Charli XCX [video]

Australian female rapper Iggy Azalea and British singer Charli XCX have teamed up and recorded ‘Fancy’ to pay tribute to the ’90s legendary ‘Clueless” film. The song itself might leave something to be desired, but the videoclip is worth watching to recall some classic movie’s scenes.

Broke For Free (Tom Cascino) is just about to release an album with some nice collaborations on it. Here’s the 3rd track from the forthcoming LP ‘Petal’ (out this spring), ‘Tropicks’. Delicate beats and subtle melodic tune, delicious! Feels like in Tropics, really.

Major Lazer – Aerosol Can (feat. Pharrell)

2

Major Lazer teamed up with Pharrell for their new single ‘Aerosol Can’. The rhymes dropped by the multi-Grammy Award winner Pharrell sound quite efortless, still perfectly fit in the danceable drum beat. Monkey outside bumbum bumbum!

Eminem – The Monster (Explicit) ft. Rihanna

New video from quite popular recently duo Eminem & Rihanna for ‘The Monster’. Disturbed patient and sexy therapist are nothing really innovative, but Rihanna’s boobs always seem to be a recipe for success. Alright then 🙂 Video was directed by Rich Lee.

Eminem – Rap God (Explicit)

Ok, I’ve never been a massive Eminem fan, but just can’t negate there’s something interesting about this man. His recent album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP2’ is just another proof of it. The rapper can’t seem to get enough and after over 20 years on the stage, still surprises with the high standard hip hop. Check out the new video for ‘Rap God’. It definitely deserves some attention, even if your heart doesn’t belong to the rap world. Why be a king when you can be a god? Perfectly suitable, Eminem, well done.

Kanye West’s ‘Bound 2’ Parody: James Franco & Seth Rogen – Bound 3 (Vague)

2

The new Kanye West’s video was definitely ‘BOUND 2’ be spoofed quickly. The ridiculous imagery of the rapper on a moving motorcycle, simulating sex with Kim Kardashian, has already become the hit of the internet. And has just been parodied by James Franco and Seth Rogen who recreated the whole video shot for shot. It’s hilarious 🙂

Neneh Cherry – Blank Project
