Soul singer Bobby Caldwell and producer Jack Splash just teamed up to create a really cool duo, with a really cool name, Cool Uncle. And what’s even more cool here is their new single, Break Away, with some lovely contribution from Jessie Ware. The full album will be out November 13 and I’m pretty convinced it will be f*cking cool!
New song from Blood Orange is a masterpiece of its kind. The atmospheric ambient filled with smoky sax, jazzy piano and dreamy synth makes a perfect background for an important message. In the lyrics, Dev Hynes talks about racism. violence and the Charleston massacre. 11 minutes of a very personal, touching and beautiful track. Worth listening.
‘Bang That’ – advise brothers Lawrence in their new track, which premiered yesterday on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. And it already caused some hot discussion and quite a lot of criticism that Disclosure don’t sound like Disclosure anymore. Well, we probably shall wait for their new album to decide. And for now let’s just dance to the old-school groovy house rhythm!
Carly Rae Jepsen just debuted a new song and it’s a huuuuge milestone in her career (remember ‘Call Me Maybe”?! – yes, it’s the very same singer). The new ballad ‘All That’ is all about 80s – dreamy, emotional synthpop, very much Prince-alike. This is a shocking progress in Jepsen’s music production, let’s hope she keeps it up! ❤
Now, clearly I’m biased, but couldn’t help but share the new Jessie Ware’s video. This time it’s ‘Champagne Kisses’, another gem from her stunning album, Tough Love. Nice colorful visuals and the vocals, of course, can’t go any better. Simple, beautiful ❤
Watch the new video from Jessie Ware for ‘You and I (Forever)’ off her new album Tough Love. The clip shows the artist with her friends (including her husband Sam Burrows and Miguel) frisking in a photo booth. Perfectly synchronized with this lovely, graceful song. Oh Jessie, you never disappoint!

Producer Aaron Jerome, better known as SBTRKT, paired up with Ezra Koenig (Vampire Weekend) to record this masterpiece. ‘New Dorp New York’ is the lead single from SBTRKT’s forthcoming album, Wonder Where We Land. Minimal, groovy, catchy, rebel, class!
British pop soul singer Jessie Ware is making a really nice comeback by premiering her brand new, beautiful single ‘Tough Love’. It’s the first track that will appear on her second, yet untitled, album which is expected to be out later this year. And based on ‘Tough Love’ chances are it will repeat the success of her debut LP, Devotion, which included gems like Wildest Moments’, ‘Running’ and ‘If You’re Never Gonna Move’. Definitely something to be looking forward to. ❤
Blood Orange, aka Dev Hynes, has just shared a video for the sweet ‘You’re Not Good Enough’ from his latest album, Cupid Deluxe (out now). It was directed by Gia Coppola and features Hynes dancing charismatically among some nice ladies (well, charismatic too) . Lovely, oldskool disco-soul-funk fusion!
A few days after sharing ‘Let Me Down Gently’, the English synthpop singer La Roux released another single from her forthcoming LP, Trouble in Paradise (out July 7). Nicely uplifting funky vibe, will make your feet jiggle 🙂
Known for her nonconventional, freaky videos tUnE-yArDs, doesn’t disappoint this time either. Watch here the new, colorful clip for ‘Water Fountain’ from her upcoming album Nikki Nack (out May 6). Very creative girl, no doubt about it 🙂
Check out this London-based rising electronic singer. Camden Cox has just released a video for her ‘Kinda Like’ track which is her first song running online. At first glance her music seems to share the common ground with artists like AlunaGeorge, Grimes, BANKS or Disclosure. Very promising girl. Kinda like her.
And one more gem from Mr Albarn – ‘Mr. Tembo’, which is a happy tribute to… an elephant. Yes, Mr. Tembo is an orphaned baby elephant that Albarn met during his recent travel to Tanzania. The elephant must have been a sweet thing as the song is definitely much more upbeat and joyous than anything else released off ‘Everyday Robots’ to date. Emotional, delightful story. Awesome!
Nicolas Jaar again teamed up with Sasha Spielberg (yes, daughter of the famous director) and as a duo called Just Friends they released a new track ‘Don’t Tell Me’. Stunning vocals and minimalist, delicate beats make it very soulful ❤
Neneh Cherry has teamed up with another Swedish music icon Robyn and here is the fruit of that collaboration. ‘Out Of The Black’ is the lead single on Neneh’s new album ‘Blank Project’ (produced by Four Tet), her first solo LP since 1996. The urban collage video was created by artist Dario Vigorito, aka 241-24-7.
This is a track with a story behind. It was recorded over a year ago when Skrillex and Ellie Goulding were a couple. Originally they titled it ‘Lovers’, but once they broke up, they decided that ‘Because’ would be a more appropriate title. After they split up though, it has never been oficially released, but Ellie recently played it in her ‘Goodnight Valentine Mix’ for Annie Mac. Sweet tune, shame for music they’re not recording together any more.
Swedish synthpop band, Little Dragon, have shared the first of two music videos for ‘Klapp Klapp’, which is the lead single from their forthcoming album, ‘Nabuma Rubberband’. Zombie-themed, supernatural video was directed by Taylor Cohen. Nabil, the creative director of this clip, will also take care of the second one.

Not so long ago Metronomy have shared with us the audio version of their hippie song ‘Love Letters’ and now we can also watch the video. Abstract and colorful scenery will just take you back to the cartoon world from your childhood 🙂
The video was directed by Michel Gondry. Full album with the same title will be out on March 7th. It features also the previous single, ‘I’m Aquarius’.
Rudimental have just shared a great visual for their new single ‘Powerless’ featuring Becky Hill. It was shot in New York and tells the story of two identical twins, Deano & Scotty Burrell, who are professional boxers.
‘Powerless’ comes out 17th Feb as a sixth and final single from the platinum selling debut album ‘Home’ by the English quartet. The video was filmed and directed by David Edwards at Rattling Stick in New York.
So, there she is. The English pop singer Pixie Lott turned up with her new, supposed-to-be-hot-and-sexy video for ‘Nasty’, which is the lead single from her upcoming self-titled third studio album. Baby, she doesn’t mind!
