Pink Floyd – Louder Than Words

Pink Floyd have released the video for ‘Louder Than Words’ from their new LP, The Endless River. This closing track is the only one with a vocal and lyrics on the instrumental album and most likely it’s the last song the band ever recorded. The surreal video directed by Po Powell mixes the footage shot at the Aral Sea between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan with black-and-white images of the band recording in the studio. Must hear, must watch, must remember!

 

DIE ANTWOORD – UGLY BOY

South African rap-rave duo Die Antwoord have just shared a new video for ‘Ugly Boy’ from their latest album Donker Mag. Apart from Ninja and Yo-Landi-Vi$$er, the creepy video features an array of cameos including Marilyn Manson, Flea, Jack Black, Dita Von Teese, The ATL twins and Cara Delevingne. Too bad it’s already post Halloween!

Amason – Duvan

Amason, quite mysterious outfit from Sweden, have premiered their new single ‘Duvan’ which is set to be out Oct 28. It’s a follow-up to released earlier this year ‘Γ…len‘. Very promising, unique band, can’t wait to hear the next fruits of their collaboration! ❀

What a heartwarming new video from Alex Metric for his latest single ‘Heart Weighs A Ton’! It shows how a 60-year-old man called Glenn Bruno managed to fullfill his dream of being a performer. Admirable. And don’t get fooled by the “heavy” title, the tune is actually very uplifting (Alex Metric, after all)!

Iamamiwhoami – tap your glass

 

Oh my, oh my!! Iamamiwhoami and her new tune ‘Tap Your Glass’ are both just all sorts of amazing! Beautiful, mystical dream pop at its finest. And obviously a lot of water in the video to make to “Joanna Style”. Can’t go wrong.

Watch this brilliant video just released by Pional for his ‘It’s All Over’ track. The animated drama was directed by Manson and is based on the Spanish youth culture in the early 90s. Great video and what a tune!!

Of Monsters and Men – New Lyric Videos

 

The Icelandic indie-folk outfit Of Monsters And Men have revealed three new lyric videos for their songs ‘Dirty Paws’, ‘King and Lionheart’ and ‘Mountain Sound’. And there will be more – the band promised to share 12 lyric videos for each track from their debut, extremely popular album, My Head is an Animal. So far they are not disappointing – the artistic “live paintings” perfectly correspond with the tune and lyrics. Beautiful!!

Jamie xx- All Under One Roof Raving

Some new stuff from Jamie XX, the track written while he was on tour with The XX last year and apparently felt a bit homesick for London life. The new steel-drum-based track is a bit heavier than previously shared ‘Sleep Sound’ or ‘Girl‘, but it definitely spreads some addictive “London” vibe around.

Jessie Ware – Tough Love

British pop soul singer Jessie Ware is making a really nice comeback by premiering her brand new, beautiful single ‘Tough Love’. It’s the first track that will appear on her second, yet untitled, album which is expected to be out later this year. And based on ‘Tough Love’ chances are it will repeat the success of her debut LP, Devotion, which included gems like Wildest Moments’, ‘Running’ and ‘If You’re Never Gonna Move’. Definitely something to be looking forward to. ❀

English singer Anna Calvi and David Byrne (Talking Heads) teamed up to record a cover of ‘Strange Weather’, originally by Keren Ann. The song will be released on 14th July as a part of the 5 track covers EP, produced by Thomas Bartlett, who previously collaborated with bands such as The National i Antony and the Johnsons. Haunting cover and you will definitely hear strong Anna Calvi’s influence here.
